OpenArchitecture offers a part-time route to obtaining architectural qualifications, optimising practice-based and online learning and is not bound to geographic location.

Do you want to advance your architectural qualifications, but you are not in a position to return to University full-time? OpenArchitecture is partnering with accredited Architectural Learning Sites to offer part-time courses for people like you.

The first University to partner with OA was the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). In 2014 a two year part-time BTech: Architectural Technology (Applied Design) programme was introduced, presented as office-based, online and through occasional face to face block release studios. The successful collaboration between Open Architecture (OA) and the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) will come to an end in November 2019, with the phasing out of the BTech programmes countrywide.

OpenArchitecture is working on a range of future part-time programmes including the BAS(Hons) and MArch(Prof) but commencement dates are not yet available.
